Hearts of Steel (HOS) is a charity established by the friends and family of Ian Weeks initially to raise funds for his heart transplant services.  Since that time a lot has changed with Ian's health to temporarily remove him for the transplant list because of his Cancer diagnosis shifting to focus of HOS to extend beyond Ian's personal need to what he truly desires, which is to serve the community affected by heart disease and rare cancers. . The Hearts of Steel Fund is funded entirely by public donations and gifts.



Ian's goal for Hearts of Steel is to reach beyond the financial help he needs for his transplant but to use Hearts of Steel as a vessel of transplant information from the patients perspective, offer support to those candidates awaiting transplant and their families, raise funds to get AED's ( Automated External Defibrillators) in community locations where high activity and/or recreation is involved and to provide support services of gifts or contributions for families of those affected with Sudden Death Arrhythmias, other terminal heart conditions and rare cancers.

 

Hearts of Steel is available depending on his current health status for speaking engagements about any of these causes and desires to do DONATE LIFE drives and SAD awareness surveys at community events.
